This apartment design illustrates the philosophy of living in combination of Zen and modernity. Through the presentation of materials, the structure of the layout and the natural light and shadow lines, the modern Zen aesthetic is expressed. The glass wall is used to separate the living room and study to increase the sense of space, and to extend the visualization of the space through the penetrating feature. The walls and furniture are made of moisture-resistant, easy-to-clean, and low-pollution system cabinets, and a large number of wood grilles are used to enrich the expression of the space with natural light and shadow. Between the living room and the study, the designer placed a glass wall to make the space permeable visually, and also to make a connection between the two spaces, so that the study and the living room extended each other and enlarged the space in sight. The study room was designed with a bedroom couch, so that the hostess who works at home can rest and change her mood in the midst of her busy schedule.
