POST-INDUSTRIAL CATALYST
The plot is set at an exceptional location, facing the wet docks and open to major public space of the neighborhood. It addresses its surrounding environment through an active groundfloor: retail spaces and main entrances.
The program hosts a business school and acts as a catalyst for this regenerated neighbordhood of Bordeaux.
In an eclectic environment, with architectural inflation, the project gives a quiet and abstract expression: the concrete skeleton recalls the rationally industrial past of the site, all the while conferring an abstract and timeless aesthetic.
UNFORMAL SPACES AND FREE COOLING
2 large patios at the 2nd storey organize the plateaus and create convivial spaces that favor interaction between visitors, shading and free cooling.
FLEXIBLE PLAN CONCEPT
The free plan structure enables different uses: today a university, tomorrow offices or even housing. The H shape of the plan allows proper reconfiguration of the different levels.
A sustainable building is a flexible and adaptable building.
