For this project, our design studio focused on creating a full home that had high-end style but for real life living. Since we were on the project from the ground up our goal was to use the bare framing as a blank canvas to fabricate a home that is a fresh take on the classic modern farmhouse style, layered with character. It was important for us to consider the home owner’s lifestyle by prioritizing a layout that encourages communication and connection. To navigate this, we thoughtfully created a layout that is mindful towards establishing spaces where the family can have their alone time, but that can also facilitate togetherness. Additional spaces off of the main living area allow opportunities for semi-private or private spaces for the family to utilize as work spaces or retreat zones. From dust to jewels, this intricately detailed and thoughtfully planned home creates a place for the family that functions with them and their changing needs.
