The current shortage of water resources is an imminent issue that human beings have to address without delay. However, this problem has not yet claimed our attention. Therefore, the inspiration of this project comes from Day Zero, a documentary directed by Kevin Sim: “Water may come into people’s daily life in many images, in particular, people’s life of feelings.” The designer extracts the element of “water”, combines “sales center, exhibition center, experience center and art center” in one work, and adopts an open and inclusive design concept to harmonize the indoor and outdoor scenarios, creating an organic commercial space for the residence project where different scenarios interact with each other and complement with the streets.The project is located in Lishui District, the south source of Qinhuai River in the upper stream. The designer extracts the natural elements of Lishui’s “Tian Sheng Qiao (Natural Bridge)” and “Yan Zhi He (The Bridge of Rouge)”, uses large stone panels and caement to create blanks, and adorns the project with wood for a natural feeling of clemency and intimacy.
