Entering the lobby generates drama, like emerging into a great sports arena through the players’ tunnel. The multipurpose central pitch engages. Moveable bleachers allow audiences to encourage participants, and business-class shower facilities allow players to cool down and maintain hygiene.

Zoning is denoted through the confident use of primary colours. Wayfinding is encouraged with mesh or acoustic panel ceiling over main walkways – while the floor emulates a running track.
A preloved shipping container is a spectacular showpiece, doubling as a mailroom and coffee bar. Serving as a tangible reminder of the practical reality of adidas’ global supply chain.
The space contains dynamic artworks celebrating adidas’ commitment to its location, history, and industry. A vast map, of repurposed wood, picks out every building in Hong Kong overlaid by a metallic outline of the world; a mural of the city’s vibrant sporting landscape celebrates iconic events; nail and string art is brought back using surplus shoelaces; and a monumental frieze presents a pantheon of sporting archetypes, constructed from up-cycled sneaker manufacturing dies.

This isn’t recreation, it’s unapologetically sport.
