A series of new spaces and installations contributes to the 150-year history and culture of Beijing Huiwen Middle School. Advanced materials and laser positioning technology are used to present the school motto through optical illusions. The historical scenes restored in the school museum brought the alumni back to their common memories. With sound field and viewing angle calculation, the optimal solution is implemented in the design of the concert hall. An installation made out of cast glass and advanced concrete is inspired by an illustration published by the school 94 years ago. It not only expresses the school's tradition, but also provides opportunities for the formation of a new school culture in the future.
