The initial structural situation was a narrow corner plot in a exposed location with a remodeled and no longer suitable for renovation existing building. A special, communicative and creative solution had to be found for the predominant young and design oriented neighbourhood. This prominent urban intersection is now accentuated by the elevation of the structure. The sculptural building and the special façade design implements the modern interpretation of the Wilhelminian town-building idea of emphasising a corner situation through special architecture and ornamentation in a narrow inner-city context.
Although the house is rather small, it acts beyond its size measured in square meters as a clear statement of modern architecture. This is further underlined by its innovative usage concept. The first floors are used intensively as a think tank and community hub under the name Casino Futur. The “Salon” on the ground floor, with its optically public area, which is created by the large window strip, invites the residents of the district to a new communication and contributes with its events open for all to moreinteraction. The apartment fulfils the demand for contemporary urban living.

Since the foundation in 1971 we are a team now with 50 architects, designers, interior designers and civil engineers with offices in Achim and Bremen.
