The SPA is an “island within the island” of the Patina Maldives Hotel. Its design makes the transition from the nature that surrounds it to the rhythm that self-care dictates, a building surrounded by blue skies and dense vegetation from all sides, but that requires calm, silence and wonder to be experienced.
The volumetric answers are extremely delicate, respectful to its surroundings, trying to provide shadows and coziness, to capture and amplify the landscape strength. The architectural lines never break the horizon, they speak low and elegantly. All buildings are visually permeable, melted, dematerialized, putting life and men in the center of the experience. A main pathway in wood connects the reception and the different massage and treatment rooms, all of them enjoying nice, framed views of the surroundings along with their gentle insertion inland. Each of these volumes are surrounded by the greens, that contribute to their isolation. In Patina Maldive’s Spa, elegant design inspires the mind through a journey of body and self nourishment. It is a soulful place, of life-affirming vitality and refreshing experiences that renew imagination.
