In a forest on the outskirts of Hangzhou, there is a unique leisure and vacation destination. The site consists of two connected rectangles. The building, shaped like a butterfly and connected by service spaces, features two V-shaped cuts facing the valley to introduce natural landscapes. The two sides of the building are embedded in the mountain, with the stream and mountain trail retained beneath. To preserve some trees, the vertical structure is designed as a "column courtyard," which serves both structural and spatial functions.
There are also several 38-68 sqm aluminum shell cabins designed in the depths of the forest, evoking the concept of architectural shelters. The weather-resistant aluminum shell can withstand harsh climates and contrasts sharply with the surroundings. The space is defined by human scale, with walls and roofs within reach, creating an experience similar to a camping tent, making visitors feel only a wall away from nature. The interior, clad entirely in wood, provides a warm and comfortable environment, forming a striking contrast with the outside wildness. This contrast allows visitors to more keenly feel the gentleness of nature or its rustic beauty.
