Twiceme's Help the Helpers (HTH) smart safety technology was inspired by military scenarios in which bystanders felt helpless in providing aid because they didn’t have the right information and couldn’t contact first responders fast enough. The company designed its HTH technology to enable bystanders to become helpers.

Twiceme began using HTH in mountain sports but expanded into the industrial space. Twiceme integrated next-generation NFC technology directly into safety gear because most people now wear helmets when skiing/snowboarding or biking. This model was applied to the construction industry. NFC was a natural choice since it does not require power, can store information locally, and has no cloud storage, which could create a cybersecurity risk. Using a smartphone app, a device people bring everywhere, one can immediately tap into the technology. Twiceme can then update the HTH app without interacting with the embedded NFC chips.

Because PPE is required on industrial job sites, HTH is a natural fit because it can store medical information about the wearer, certifications, and other critical documents, as well as the history of the equipment itself.
