The project aims to establish a fluid relationship between the interior and the slightly depressed exterior by constructing an elevated platform at the same level as the original house, creating a transition area with the garden and blurring the boundaries between both. New, meticulously located windows reinforce this relationship and flood the house with natural light. The project recognizes the original curved geometry of the existing staircase as unique. These curved lines are thus exported to new platforms, interior walls, kitchen, and pool, integrating this geometry into the design of new elements. The new layout emphasizes fluid circulations and open spaces through equipped walls that generate and distribute the space, incorporating storage and intimate areas within. The third axis of the project decisively responds to an energy strategy of self-sufficiency and minimal environmental impact, incorporating a complete catalog of sustainable tools, renewable energies, and ecological and local materials, as well as the design of a garden that promotes biodiversity and environmental improvement
Bio CRÜ is sensitive architecture that creates a vibrant dialogue melding the existing raw materials and the new layers of the project with a meticulous attention to detail from the structural framework to the furniture.
