HTK in Xiamen Fujian is a multi-dimensional, interactive realization of an educational and entertainment complex that unites interdisciplinary expertise and artists to create an immersive interstellar experience.
HTK’s creative and client team envisioned a physical multiverse environment with cutting-edge visuals, such as spacetime abstractions, cosmic phenomena, and warp speed travel.
By combining computer-generated imagery and animations on high-resolution LED panels and customized audio resonances, guests fully immerse themselves in interstellar expeditions through solar flares, auroras, and nebulae.
The interactive journey begins with a sequence of spatial experiences including boarding deck, elevator chambers, grand concourse, hibernation pods, control deck, gaming capsules, and leisure hubs. Materials and finishes such as glass-reinforced-gypsum, lacquer paint, metal mesh, and customed aluminum panels are used to integrate physical and virtual systems. 3D-printed study models are investigated for finalizing panel shapes and various joint details.
HTK's December 2023 opening quickly became a hit with guests of all ages.
