Shenzhen Galaxy Twin Towers, verified as the "Tallest Twin Buildings of Equal Height in China" by the CTBUH, is the first super-tall building in China to achieve the prestigious certifications of "WELL V2 Core Platinum" and "LEED V4 Gold" for its sustainable design. Based in the local conditions, the designer team responsible for the design of the lobbies, office floors, and public areas, aim to create a new landmark at Shenzhen's northern gateway. Their design goes beyond aesthetics to empower the approximately 30,000 occupants of this vertical "city in the sky" in their daily work and life.
The key design element of the project revolves around the core tube structure. The designer embraced the transparency of the space by accentuating the core tube as the focal point. The original core tube structure takes the form of an inverted U-shape with a two-step outward protrusion at the top, creating a distinctive architectural feature.
