The hotel is located in Nipponbashi, Osaka, a paradise for fans of Japanese pop culture worldwide. It caters to diverse and sensitive tourists visiting this vibrant area.
Our goal was to provide visitors with a sense of diversity, making their stay more exciting than just a place to rest.
We designed a facade reminiscent of a retail store with display windows and artwork inspired by the hotel's name. Guests transition from this vibrant facade into a serene, small lobby. To reach the guest rooms, they pass through an arched space resembling an underground wine cellar.
On the guest room floor, they first encounter a large sign, followed by numerous lighting fixtures and a floor reminiscent of a moss garden. Each element is emphasized to entertain and engage visitors. The guest rooms feature a mix of traditional Japanese elements and contemporary designs, giving each room a distinct character and sense of serenity.
Though small, the hotel offers an experience of alternating motion and stillness through its design, achieving the atmosphere we aimed for.
