The "MFG" is a mobile sauna that offers a space for relaxation. It provides space for four people on its three tiers, creating a unique atmosphere through the translucent polycarbonate panels that erase the boundary between inside and outside. Double polycarbonate sheets are embedded in the frame, which provide a high level of insulation and stands in contrast with the otherwise massive and rustic wooden saunas.
A central element in the design is the drawbar. It is inspired by the principle of the wheelbarrow, which makes it possible to carry the sauna by hand and use the sauna at different locations to actively occupy public spaces in the urban context on a temporary basis. The shape and method of transportation is both unique and recognizable. Whether in a small parking lot or directly into the woods, the sauna opens up creative possibilities for public spaces, breaking with conventionalities. It is setting an example for relaxation and slowing down in daily life, and creating a sense of connection within an urban environment in contrast to the ever increasing speed of society.
