North of Salt Lake City, Utah, lie two adjoining parks: Warm Springs and North Gateway. At 20 acres, these spaces have largely supported people through the use of their warm springs. While the primary focus of the site is centered around healing and recreation, the area has remained unsettled due to prolonged periods of social and environmental challenges. By conducting thorough, in-depth cultural research, a list of programs designed to aid in healing was developed. This process involved delving into the traditions and practices of the community to ensure that the programs resonate. Therefore, water provides a compelling value proposition for enhancing these parks environmentally and socially by facilitating circulation, programming, and restoration efforts.
