Quzhou No.6 Experimental School covers 67,500 sqm, with a 36-class primary and 18-class middle school. The design redefines the conventional campus by introducing a “campus street” system—an open, interconnected framework linking teaching, hybrid, and cultural zones across varying scales. Inspired by the “Tree of Growth” concept, the campus integrates pocket gardens, terminal volumes, and informal grey spaces to create a multi-layered learning environment. The main street and secondary paths traverse rooftop terraces, sunken gardens, and semi-enclosed courtyards, allowing students to explore, interact, and learn beyond the classroom. Teaching clusters follow a rhythm of “corridor–terminal–grey space,” fostering spontaneous encounters. The cultural and sports center, nestled in a landscaped slope, offers venues for gathering, performance, and play. By softening the boundary between formal and informal learning, the project creates a vibrant, flexible, and future-oriented landscape. The architecture encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, offering a model for school design that supports holistic student growth.
