Elysium presents a bold vision for the future of urban living—an inclusive, sustainable, and climate-conscious response to the pressures of population growth and rapid urbanisation. Rising 240 metres in the heart of Zurich, Elysium is Switzerland’s tallest residential tower, designed as a self-contained ecosystem. It features 612 serviced apartments—one-third of which are affordable—alongside a five-star hotel, public rooftop gardens, winter gardens, cultural venues, and social spaces. Its hybrid timber-concrete structure dramatically reduces embodied carbon, saving over 3’000 tonnes of CO2 during construction, while integrated greenery absorbs 16 tonnes of CO2 and produces 8 tonnes of oxygen annually. The Mantis bridge forms an elevated public promenade and civic connector, culminating in a 1’256-seat open-air theatre that enhances Zurich’s cultural infrastructure. Together, the tower and bridge redefine what a dense urban project can be—socially generous, environmentally intelligent, and beautifully integrated with its surroundings.
