The Xinxinsuo Exhibition Hall in Jiading, Shanghai marks the first launch of the "Future City Program". Located at the community's "super intersection" with CHUNXI Bazaar and GULANG Pavilion, it forms a public space matrix. Focused on "future community narrative & new exhibition morphology", it integrates vitality, low-carbon and smart concepts via north/south exhibition areas and an atrium. Using artistic installations and modular curation, it creates a community "energy field" as a cultural landmark.
Designed as a "cultural venue cluster", Xinxinsuo serves the "10-minute living circle" public cultural needs. With periodic content updates, resident participation and new resource attraction, it showcases the community blueprint and "Future City Program" via adaptive curation.
In materials, low-carbon wheat straw is used. The atrium art installation links to real-time community data (wind speed, lighting, rainwater storage, photovoltaic power). Shanghai Forever bicycles are repurposed into "wheel booths", combined with modular stands for flexible updates. Stage-style curtains and mirrored walls balance spatial transparency and exhibition closure.
