Landmark transformation of London’s iconic 18th-century Sloane Street into a 1km ‘green boulevard’ focused on heritage, sustainability, elegance, and community impact.
Aesthetic cohesion is reflected in a bespoke material palette, including honey-hued Yorkstone paving, handcrafted granite planters and dual-height lighting columns, with cast-iron embellishment inspired by ‘temple to the arts & crafts’ Holy Trinity Church on Sloane Street. The pavements have been expanded 23% to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility, increasing dwell time and footfall for local businesses, contributing millions to the economy each year.
A 175% increase in biodiversity and +17% in Urban Greening Factor have been delivered with over 100 new trees and diverse perennial planting, helping to mitigate urban heat island effects and support year-round ecological health. The project contributes to microclimate regulation and air purification, while softening the urban environment.
Visitors now enjoy a serene landscape, once a traffic-heavy route to a destination for relaxation and retail; reaffirming the Street’s prestige and merging heritage with ecological innovation for future resilience.
