In a classic building in Sant Gervasi–Galvany (Barcelona), this home is conceived as a family retreat and second residence. The intervention transforms the original layout toward an open, connected way of living, without sacrificing comfort or serene elegance. The day area integrates kitchen, dining, and living to create a barrier-free social heart. The kitchen, timeless in character, features a sculptural bar, natural surfaces, and precise functionality; the living area, warm and enveloping, adds softened light, bespoke furniture, and an integrated sound system. The night area is clearly organized: a serene primary suite as a personal retreat, with soft textures, dimmable lighting, and a spa-like bathroom—microcement, a neutral palette, full-height enclosed showers, and concealed fixtures. Children’s rooms, designed to be shared and to evolve, combine rest, play, and storage; their bathroom, located outside the bedroom, encourages autonomy. A guest room connects to a guest bathroom with a more daring, expressive character. Noble materials, layered lighting, and discreet technology sustain the balance between form and function.
