The design inspiration comes from "preserving the essence of the layout while integrating modern lifestyles." Without making major changes to the original layout, the space is redefined with new meaning.
Utilizing design to address the challenges of a narrow layout and inefficient space usage in an old house, this project creates an open and interactive living environment for the homeowner, embodying the essence of a welcoming venue for frequent gatherings. Through a refined modern design concept and a neutral palette ranging from deep gray to light gray, the space becomes a blank canvas, allowing for flexible exhibition changes and showcasing infinite possibilities and a diverse aesthetic of living.
This project breaks the traditional mold of old house remodeling “total demolition” method and rejuvenates the space by fine-tuning the layout and elaborating the design to meet the needs of house owners.
The minimalist design resolves the complex structure of the old house and creates a durable and changeable display space, allowing the house owner to easily replace the interior displays and maintain the novelty of the space.
