Short Project Description
The idea and the main driver instinct in me to develop the concept of the urban stitching emanated from the fact that certain local Epoque architectural and historic buildings in most towns were being eradicated due to the lack of vision and foresight, which brings along the issue of architectural sustainability. The concept intends to dig deep into people's reflections by providing critical insights through best design practices. This concept in itself was an experimental phase during my MA studies. It was very well received on a local level and embraced by most Authorities.
The Narrative
With specific reference to this real-life case study research outcomes, the village has suffered from detachment governing its architectural soul, the same soul by which the sense of space married to meticulous architecture fell apart.
In the built-up of the urban stitching concept in practice, I am taking this lost aspect through soul-searching approach in today's urbanized, over-developed context within this town. People might, and will discuss, that creating a public garden space instead of developing the last few remaining historical properties is an insanity...
