The project design fully balances a series of technical implementation issues such as function, space comfort, ecological energy saving, and assembly construction. The design concept is“Home for fun-loving hearts where joy is created”. GWP proposes to create a future-oriented, people-oriented, lively and interesting space for this headquarters office environment, creating a rich and diverse space experience and interaction.
The three-dimensional greening 360° spiral covers the entire building from bottom to top. To adapt to the characteristics of Lingnan climate, GWP designed a modular skin system on the building's facade. Through controlling the combination of modules, it forms a reasonable way of shading, ensuring natural lighting in the room and reducing solar radiation. It achieves efficient energy-saving control, and giving the building an aesthetic charm. A modular plane system build to adapt to the flexible needs of enterprises for space utilization and the possibility of irregular function conversion .
The foundation stone laying ceremony was held in April 2021 and the project is now under construction.
Bio Guowei Zhang received his bachelor's degree in architecture from the UCLA and his master's degree from both Harvard and MIT. He once served as the Chairman of ChinaGSD of Harvard Student Union, and organized and led Harvard's China trip. He is currently the founder and principal architect of GWP Architects. He was elected as a director of Harvard University South China Alumni Association in 2017, and was elected as one of the top ten Chinese design elites in 2018. He later served as the DEC co-founder of the Huaying Association.He elected as Vice Chairman of Shenzhen Industry Alliance in 2021.
