This resort hotel’s design began with a vision for the space to reflect the energy and aspirational nature associated with the city it calls home. The concept, both radical and chic, stripped away brash colors that dominate the local landscape and introduced a palette of black and white for a tightly edited, well-manicured look.
The lobby is clean and calm with a global ambiance. Materiality has luxury at its core and is executed in bold sweeping moments. An illuminated mineral wall commissioned by the designers and encrusted with gold and white crystals, geodes, meteorite and pearls serves as the focal point.
Channeling a hip and sexy Cubano vibe, the open-air lobby bar allows guests to enjoy the beautiful Miami seascape. Graffiti-inspired graphics add to the bar’s urban flavor.
The guestroom design merges yachting culture with a spa-like sensibility with a focus on the spectacular ocean views. A serene palette sets the tone, while beachy-wood floors, custom fabrics and wallcoverings, and crisp white case goods create a simple and streamlined effect.
This hotel is much more than a resort, it’s a respite – an immersive experience that’s easy, elegant and aspirational.
