The naming of the restaurant “Ribbon” symbolizes a festive atmosphere on special days and holidays. The designer creates a sense of ceremony with a great amount of natural lighting that expands the visual perception with consistency.

The half-circle plaza in front of the facade of the restaurant and the tilted staircases with embedded light strips contribute to a sense of earnestness. In addition, the reeded glass panel is applied to maintain privacy while ensuring the introduction of natural lighting.

Entering the restaurant, can sense that the designer reinterprets and repackages the Korean cuisine with a modern technique and semi-industrial style. The curved light strips and the flooring transitions between wooden and stone materials both contribute to an intuitive sense of spatial transition.

The kitchen is designed to be semi-open-plan with a bar counter arrangement. The suspended shelving allows convenient arrangement of utensils that gives a sense of neatness to the restaurant. The irregular orders of the wooden veneer decoration below and above the counter is cast with lighting effect, which consequently appears with layers of different darkness.
