The project is located in the core area of downtown Chengdu, China. The designer integrates local comfortable and leisure urban culture to create a modern brief Chinese-style modle room for the stacked townhouse. With the architectural, cultural and aesthetic elements of the Song Dynasty incorporated into the design, a concise quality living space in line with modern living aesthetics is presented.
The project revolves around the "July market" of the "12-month markets" culture of Chengdu in the Song Dynasty for inspiration and creates different spaces under seven themes related to the culture. Incorporated with the modern popular interest, it strides over time and spaces to pay tribute to the Song Dynasty. The interlayer children's activity area is created as an interesting, energetic and imaginative cosmic exploration space through modeling, layout and rich colors. Colors, materials and scale relationship are all human-friendly designed from the perspective of children, to provide diversified levels of immersive experience in a modular way of thinking. In addition, the combination of sound, light and electricity makes an innovative practice of the interactive new media.
