The Hotel at Hope College came to fruition when the College realized there was both a need and an opportunity to enhance their relationship with the Holland community. Through the generosity of many in the community and corporate sponsors, the doors originally opened for business on January 13, 1997. With 50 guest rooms and 12 conference rooms in a space of 10,000 square feet.?

The Holland hotel update project is designed as an updated hospitality resource for travelers, corporate guests, and visitors to the college. This transformational project remodeled all conference and hotel rooms, rebuilt the lobby and created a full-service coffee shop open to students and the public. The hospitality setting provides the ideal venue for a welcoming design that draws the comforts of home into a professional space. There are touchdown workspaces, as well as social spaces throughout the lobby.

Creating a space that fosters interactions and meets the needs of the College, community, and corporate guests created a design and architecture challenge. Creative solutions led to a space that balances warmth, playfulness, sophistication and multiple brand experiences for all users.
