In this five-storey detached villa of nearly 1,700 square meters, the designers work to strike a precise balance between publicness and privacy, and between the functionality and interactivity of the house. That will enable residents to enjoy their individual interests and lifestyles while facilitating emotional connection and communication with family.
In the face of the difficulties of cross ventilation and lighting insufficiency in the second basement, the designers have taken innovative steps to open up the sunken courtyard from the negative first floor to the negative second floor, thus creating a two-storey high ceiling that brings light and views into the underground space.
In the space, the classic elegance of the East exists in harmony with the simplicity and fashion of contemporary living. When night falls, the stars, the moonlight and the lights reflect each other, drawing a poetic picture within the context of the shadows of the trees and the breeze. Thanks to designers’ endeavour, a type of aesthetic, comfortable and remarkably high-quality life could be provided to residents.
