The Marktkauf in Paderborn received a tailor-made design: On a sales area of ??2200 m2, ceiling projections, ventilation and sometimes high trusses require a design concept that puts irregularities in the room in the background. Vertical and horizontal light bands should therefore emphasize height and connect the individual hall segments into a coherent space. High-gloss surfaces in different designs, which reflect their surroundings and make them appear larger, ensure more airiness. Long lines of sight give the store an unprecedented breadth and semi-transparent room dividers divide the various departments into meaningful sections. The resulting room-in-room feeling is intended to create more atmosphere and orientation.
