‘The Annexe’ stands as a remarkable embodiment of the delicate equilibrium between contemporary living & deep-rooted principles of Indian culture. With a built-up area of 4500 SF, it is meticulously crafted to cater to the expanding needs of a multigenerational family, with subtle unpretentious elegance.
Embodying a truly modern aesthetic, the design is a combination of a simple hovering mass over a base finished in travertine stone with floating projections in exposed concrete. Accentuated by subtle hints of metal & wood detailing, this harmonious interplay of a varied material palette crafts a space that engages the senses, providing a comfortable & inviting haven.
Inspired by traditional Indian homes, the heart of the abode is a semi-covered courtyard, enclosed by family spaces & a lawn. The upper level, dedicated to private quarters overlooking the courtyard & pool, is combination of glass, wood, and floating concrete canopies detailed with metal accents. Abundant windows provide panoramic vistas & seamlessly connect interior & exterior spaces. Continuing the narrative, the compound wall is finished with local stone, shielding the abode from the clamour of the bustling street.
