A rich living space is not only functionally fulfilling, but it is also important to feel close to nature and have a view from the room. Currently, many of the houses built in urban areas in Japan are designed in a closed manner within limited site conditions. Focusing on windows that connect with nature and outside space, we examined the design of an open house in the city. Designs that ensure privacy and openness at the same time should avoid crossing the line of sight of passers-by and residents. If you imagine a bridge, the vertical direction intersects at right angles. The direction of each line of sight can be guided naturally, so it is a starting point for creation. There are windows on the entire road side, and the impressive living space seems to be floating in the air. By arranging independent rooms, a sense of floating is created. The line of sight is orthogonal to nature, incorporating avoidable effects into residential design.
Bio Matsuo michihiro mainly designs villas and houses. and seems to embody the new value created by the relationship between housing and society and design. Pursue design quality while securing earthquake resistance and functionality. In order to realize a low carbon society in Japan, which is a country with many earthquakes, we have selected a wooden axis for the structure, and we are challenging the possibility of making wood of houses and large buildings with earthquake resistant performance secured.
