NEW USES, FLEXIBILITY, RESILIENCE, MUTABILITY, MOBILITY
We believe that is necessary to open the tertiary buildings to the city, to connect public spaces and private spaces. In our opinion, the new workspace codes are more like a hotel than a company, with restaurants, gyms, concierges, services, places of conviviality: the most constructive exchanges within companies take place informally, in common areas. We believe that these spaces should be grouped together and made the "heart" of the "new generation" tertiary building, evolving and open.
The new generation office "building" must be able to respond to changes in use and anticipate future changes. It must offer maximum flexibility and follow the evolution of companies. There is no longer a single vision of the ideal workspace. Flexible offices, open spaces, closed and individual spaces... all configurations must be possible.
The building must also be adaptable and resilient in the face of changes in society: the building must be able to offer 100% coworking space. Is there a return to more traditional partitioned offices? All office spaces must be able to meet this objective.
Our project allows for these adaptations.

Bio
Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia is, from 2017, the new name of 5+1AA. Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia develops the project themes in an “atelier” gathering 3 places characteristic of the identity of the three cities, Genoa, Milan and Paris, where a multidisciplinay team makes them live like a unique place for project and thought, feeding on the different particularities and experiences of the three cities. The Atelier focuses on the urban regeneration and the construction of important buildings in the main Italian and Mediterranean cities and develops the right to matter thanks to several collaborations.
