The design of Blue Bovine incorporates modernity, and traditional beaux-arts detailing to seamlessly meld with Union Station’s significant renovations and updates in recent years while preserving its historic elements. The design approach is a fusion of various inspirations blending sleek modernism with classic industrial design elements. This intersection becomes a testament to the unique narrative within Union station’s landmark architectural fabric. Rich woods, natural stone, and bold sculptural detailing create an atmosphere that resonate with character and distinction. The symmetrical design of the ornate detailing on the ceiling panels, the marble clad grand entrance, and classical crown moulding is inspired by Union station’s Beaux-Arts architectural style, popular during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Our curated art pieces bring a sexy street-style to the space. Intentionally commissioned works by Mr Brainwash, Mr Pinkbrush, Peter Tunney, and local Toronto artist Peter Triantos add colour, vibrancy and character to the monochromatic space. This street art reflects modern culture, and the vibrancy of the urban neighborhood of the location of the restaurant.
