The project [Safe and Soft] proposes a personalized form of housing tailored for the elderly, addressing the paradox of high accident rates in homes where seniors should feel most secure. The solution involves renovating home structure to accommodate the physical needs of aging individuals through strategic spatial structure and interior furniture. Utilizing modular systems, I create adaptable structures that blend seamlessly with furniture, which name is the 'soft column', and it provides support without rigid barriers. Curved modules and smooth edges enhance safety and storage efficiency, while handles designed for grip aid mobility. A warm CMF, primarily leather and wood, promotes visual clarity and expansion. Recognizing age-related spatial perception challenges, they employ colors with distinct contrasts to mitigate accidents caused by misjudgment.
