Stasys Museum located in Panevezys, Lithuania, aims to enhance city development by creating a vibrant public environment. This project seeks to improve quality of life and promote cultural awareness in a democratic communal space, positioning the museum as a leader in public service through exceptional content and functionality.
Inspired by the works of interdisciplinary artist Stasys Eidrigevicius, the design embodies his artistic philosophy of simplicity, logic, and fantasy. Architectural elements reflect a “touch of Eidrigevicius,” focusing on continuity and interaction—principles seen in his art. The layout thoughtfully organizes a large public space to the south, incorporating a non-commercial cinema hall, a valued feature for locals, preserving the site's historical significance as a former movie theater. The project's public space connects streets, featuring two zones: an active leisure area to the north and a creative-urban zone to the south. The museum encompasses two floors of exhibition spaces, an educational area, and an entrance hall which in the second phase will evolve into a media exhibition space.
