TRACK AND ROOT is a sustainable outreach hub that breathes new life into a forgotten landscape. Designed as an open platform, it provides space for sustainability-driven initiatives to test ideas, showcase projects, and connect with the public- spreading awareness on sustainable urban development.

Inspired by the site’s history as a mangrove swamp, the design reinterprets the natural language of roots into architecture. Willowy structures rise like roots seeking the sky, forming dome-like enclosures that suggest both openness and shelter, while water gently floods the hangar- blurring boundaries between past and present.

At the heart of the project lies a modular system that begins with a single core unit. Like a seed, it multiplies and branches into clusters of varying scale and function. This hierarchy allows the design to grow, evolve, and adapt with future programs- mirroring the organic rhythm of a mangrove ecosystem, and encouraging continuous learning, collaboration, and sustainable innovation.
