LOBANG at Luxe Lakes CPI reimagines a former villa cluster as China’s first “wild garden” commercial complex. Perched atop the site, the design preserves the villa’s lower frame while adding a new, floating white volume above. The dialogue of “heavy” original structure and “light” new form defines a stage for “scene-driven consumption.” Inside, exposed triangular steel trusses evoke a factory’s honesty: an open island bench and surrounding counter unite oven and serving area, delivering bread straight from hearth to guest. Expansive glass walls and skylights frame ever-changing natural backdrops—lush vegetation by day, shifting skies by h—immersing visitors in an unbroken connection with the lake beyond. A rooftop terrace, accessed by external stairs, becomes both event platform and sunlit retreat. “Lobang,” meaning “opportunity gap,” embodies vision: no unnecessary process, only pure, fresh experience and endless potential. By honoring the site’s cultural memory and weaving art, community, and ecology into every corner, LOBANG becomes a sustainable urban “laboratory” where architecture quietly stages daily life and invites every spontaneous moment to shine.
