The project is born from the desire to preserve the memory of a house that held
the story of a past era. The various textures of the wallpaper and tiles clearly
depicted the historical period of the 1960s, a treasure too rich in beauty to be
destroyed and erased from memory. From these emotions arises the need to fix
the past in time, applying it to the intervention of the present. Nora Santonastaso,
known on social media as “Design Outfit”, is an architect who “personalises
homes for people, offering a service that is tailored to each individual.” In line with
the meaning of her nickname, a series of portraits of her were taken in the house
before its renovation. Successively, the different textures of each room were
applied to her dress, blending the environment onto her. Just as if each room
were an Outfit.
