On a once sloped Austin site, this project redefines the modern garden—minimal in form yet rich in intention. The geometric pool and spa are clad in ultra compact surfaces, chosen for its aesthetic elegance, exceptional durability, and zero-maintenance performance. Precision mitered edges and concealed joints create the illusion of carved monolithic stone, an exercise in both restraint and craftsmanship.
Sustainability is embedded in every detail: water wise synthetic turf offers barefoot comfort year-round without irrigation, evergreen plantings provide privacy, structure, and low maintenance. Designed within a crowded neighborhood, the space was crafted to feel unlike anything around it—serene, secluded, and deeply personal—while still opening framed “windows” into the garden and to the rolling hills beyond.
Anchoring the central focal axis is a rare sculpture by renowned artist Julian Voss-Andreae, hand-selected as the terminal viewpoint. By day sunlight dances across its planes, revealing new contours and shadows creating an ever-changing visual experience. The result is a precise intersection of art, architecture, and sustainability—where minimalism meets global sophistication
