This restaurant, set in a former office building in the lower mainland of British Columbia, located in an area of a smaller community that has experienced a decline.
We approached the project holistically, leading the transformation of both the building’s interior and exterior while acting as the prime consultant. We proposed building extensions to accommodate a new kitchen wing and an enclosed patio, while preserving the building’s core integrity. Custom terrazzo floors with beautiful paisley inspired patterning guides guests through the space, creating a fluid journey. Operable glass walls on the north side and between the bars allow the space to adapt seamlessly across seasons and service flows. We were intentional with every detail.
We partnered with artisans in Jaipur and Delhi to produce custom designed semi-precious stone tables and handcrafted lighting, layering authentic and balanced materiality throughout. Every element, from bespoke millwork to seating, was designed in-house to provide comfort, cultural pride, and refinement. Our cross-disciplinary coordination ensured the final outcome melded operational goals, cultural narrative, and elevated guest experience.
