This project involves the strategic relocation and expansion of the library at University of Saint Joseph, transforming the facility into a modern academic hub and enhancing accessibility, capacity, and student experience. Inspired by "knowledge flow," the design emphasizes openness and fluid circulation, breaking traditional shelf-centered layouts. Bright yellow accents and large soundproof glass connecting to the pool below improve light while reducing noise by over 40 dB. Key areas demonstrate innovative strategies: the reception integrates service and shelving with wheelchair access; book stacks prioritize fluidity with clear markers; reading zones feature dynamic seating for varied learning styles. Materials balance acoustic performance, durability, and maintenance, while modular furniture supports future adaptability. Sustainability is achieved through maximized natural light, energy-efficient HVAC, and flexible layouts, creating an inclusive, bright, and adaptive learning environment.Overall, the design creates an inclusive, flexible, and inspiring learning environment that enhances student engagement and academic experience.
