Celebrating the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, the nature-infused Port of Portland welcomes passengers with a sense of arrival in Oregon. The reimagined Main Terminal, designed as a walk through the forest, embodies the essence of PDX—America’s Best Airport—by transcending the complexities of travel and evoking a sense of wonder that reflects the region's ethos: biophilic, calming, resilient, and restorative.
The park-like terminal, featuring 70 large mature trees and 5,000 cascading plants beneath a stunning, locally sourced 9-acre mass timber roof, strategically offers wayfinding. The tree-lined shopping corridor showcases local flavors and tastes, while Oregon-inspired digital landscape artworks complete the immersive experience, welcoming all to Portland’s newest destination.
