Japon takes you through the Japanese culture where the past and present collide.Manifesting its wings lives a mosaic crane at the entrance, where she greets you and envelops you in her embrace. She represents elegance and a natural beauty in this culture. The design consists of wall to ceiling feather tiles that frame said crane as she watches the beautiful scenery. From the scenery of the mosaic the color pallet of the rest of the restaurant emerges. The greenish blue hand painted glossy paneling talks to the modern elements of Japan while the patters, ceiling (which references the old temples), lighting, and textures represent the past. The motif of the crane continues to fly through the space as the fabrics reference the florals and scenery they have seen. As well as the hand painted gold foiled glass mural that draws you to the sea food display, private bar, and private dining room. The private bar is adorned with elaborate marble ribs and crane mural wallpaper. There are many modern twists on the furniture and lighting which brings a fresh view on the Asian culture. Japon is not just a restaurant it’s the elegance, traditions, hand crafted details of the passage through time.
