Cas Esbach is a Dutch architect, educator, and the founder of KANS, an architecture and design studio launching in June 2025. Based in the United States, he is also a professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he teaches design studios and seminars on contemporary architectural practice. Prior to founding KANS, Cas spent over five years as a project leader at MVRDV in Rotterdam, contributing to internationally recognized projects such as Tripolis Park, Shenzhen Terraces, and Valley in Amsterdam.
His work bridges architectural practice and pedagogy, with a particular focus on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in design authorship and aesthetics. Through recent installations and lectures—at venues including Salone del Mobile, Syracuse University, and in publications such as Arketipo and Parametric Architecture—he explores the visual languages emerging from computational workflows.
At KANS, Cas continues to investigate new typologies, tools, and global narratives that shape architecture today, with a commitment to experimentation, clarity, and bold ideas.
