Zhou Yi, founder and chief designer of Dayi Design, graduated from Nanjing University and has been in the design industry for over a decade. She is now a member of the Architectural Society of China, a council member of the Wuxi Interior Design Association, and a visiting professor in the Department of Art at Jiangyin University.
Following her graduation, Zhou gained international work experience and pursued further studies abroad, which greatly broadened her perspective. Upon returning to China, she chose to develop her creative work in her hometown of Jiangyin, using the historical and geographically complex small city to explore the relationship between people and space. She aims to interpret and perpetuate the area’s unique traditional culture from a modern standpoint, employing a rich visual language to captivate the younger generation.
